What is cancellation guarantee?

(To be taken out on signature of the contract or at the latest within 48 hours of signing)

Pitch only: €5 per night including VAT for stays of less than 3 days and €15 including VAT for stays of 3 days or more 
Accommodation: €5 per night including VAT 

30 days or more before planned arrival: refund without justification (cancellation insurance deducted)
Within 1 to 29 days of planned arrival: refund on presentation of proof of medical or professional justification for one of the members of your group (handling fees and cancellation insurance deducted)
On or after your day of arrival: no refund (cancellation clauses do not apply during the stay)

Cancellation insurance covers the cost of the stay (excluding booking fees and cancellation insurance fees) and only on presentation of proof that the cancellation is due to one of the following:

 • Serious illness, serious accident or death affecting a member of your family, including relapse, aggravation of a chronic or pre-existing illness, as well as the consequences, the consequences of an accident that occurred prior to the purchase of the contract of yourself, your spouse or common-law partner, your ascendants or descendants up to the 2nd degree, stepfathers, mothers-in-law, sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, your legal guardian or a person usually living under your roof, the person who accompanies you during your stay nominally mentioned and insured under this contract, your professional substitute nominally quoted at the time of the purchase, the person in charge of the care of your children during your stay, or a disabled person who lives under your roof and who you are legal guardian of.)

 • Completion in pregnancy before the 7th month of one of the persons participating in the stay and insured under this contract which entails the absolute cessation of any professional activity or other.)

• Material damage to your property and you presence being essential• Economic termination or contractual termination of you or your spouse or common-law partner insured under the same contract provided that the procedure was not initiated prior to the purchase of the contract.

You will be reimbursed up to the amount of the deposit paid. During your stay, if one of the above events occurs and forces you to interrupt your stay, you will be reimbursed the amount corresponding to the part of the stay not carried out.

What is the visitors' tax?

The visitors' tax is a tax on holidays that can be levied by French municipalities recognised as tourist resorts. It is collected by lodgers, hoteliers, landlords, etc. You will be asked to pay the visitors' tax on your arrival at the campsite (in France only) The rate varies with the destination and with the age of the people concerned. It is calculated on a specific period of the year.


How can I book my stay if I don't have a bank card?

Please contact our Booking Service on +33 (0)252 200 126 and we will arrange your booking together. We will then send you an "option" rental contract, which is valid for only 8 days and which will be confirmed on receipt of your payment by cheque, holiday vouchers or bank transfer.


Can I choose my pitch?

You can state your preferences for the choice of pitch. We will allocate the pitch best suited to your request. We will grant your request only subject to availability and shall not be held liable if we are unable to accede to your request.


Can we come with one person more than the accommodation's listed capacity?

At our Vagues Océanes holiday parks only, we accept a maximum of one person more than the capacity of the accommodation you have booked (except Villa range, Premium range, Privilege range, Cabanes d'Oléron range). You should be aware that, in this case, a €72 surcharge will be charged per week for the extra person, that bedding is not provided for the extra person and that babies are counted as a separate person.
We accept a maximum of six people per pitch.
At Res'O holiday parks, extra people are not allowed.


Is it possible to install a tent in front of the accommodation?

Only on the Resort Vagues Océanes (Brittany, Vendee, Oleron, Île de Ré, Dordogne), we can allow the installation of a small tent in front of your accommodation, as the capacity of accommodation is met on the total plot (in-place reserves and under-provided field permits).


What facilities are there in the accommodation? What do I need to bring?

All of our accommodation is equipped with crockery and cutlery, and pillows and blankets are provided. Remember to bring your own sheets and household linen, as they are not provided in our rental accommodation. You may, however, hire them at the campsite (see prices in the section on campsite hire services).


What size are the beds, so I know what sheets to bring?

A double bed measures 140cm; a single bed measures approximately 80cm. In some accommodation, where you might have two double beds, one of the double beds is smaller and measures between 120 and 130cm.


Is there heating in the accommodation?

Yes, there is a heater in the main kitchen-dining room.


How much does it cost to hire sheets and bath linen?

At Vagues Océanes holiday parks only, you can request to hire fabric sheets, either when you book or when you arrive. A double-bed sheet set costs 18€ a week, a single-bed sheet set costs €16 a week. A bath linen set, consisting of a large towel, a small towel and a face flannel, costs €12,50 a week.


Would you like our cleaning services ?

To make the absolute most of your holiday and have a hassle free departure, we can propose 5 cleaning packages:
- Basic package (30€) : Does not include the complete cleaning of the kitchen (firdge, micro wave, cupboards, kitchen and tableware), bedrooms (cupboards, folding the linen), garden furniture and windows.
- Medium package (60€) : Does not include the cleaning of the kitchen- and tableware, dustbins, garden furniture and folding linen.
- Total package(85€) : Does not include the garden furniture and dustbins.
- Total cleaning  (140€) (only available package for 4-bedroom mobilhome) : Does not include the cleaning of the garden furniture and dustbins

- Total cleaning  (140€) (only available package for Premium mobilehome) : Does not include garbage disposal.
- Total cleaning  (200€) (only available package for Villa mobilehome) : Does not include garbage disposal.

For the Archipel range, 3 packages are available depending on your accommodation:
- Archipel 3 rooms for €85
- Archipel 4 rooms for €140
- Archipel 6 rooms for €170

Can I hire baby equipment?

At Vagues Océanes and Res'O holiday parks (subject to availability), you can hire babies' bath tubs at 8€ a week, high chairs at 15€ a week and cots at 15€ a week. The complete baby set (bath tub + high chair + cot) is available for €32 a week.


Can I bring my own barbecue or do you have them for hire on site at the campsite?

Before bringing your own barbecue, check your booking voucher to see whether they are permitted and exactly what type of barbecue is allowed (gas, electric or charcoal).

Charcoal barbecues are prohibited by municipal law  in our campsite Le Rosnual in Carnac, campsite Le Brandais in Brem-sur-Mer, in our 2 campsites in Oléron (Les Grosses Pierres and Les Cabanes d'Oléron ) and in our campsite in La Tranche sur Mer (Les Blancs Chênes).  It is, however, possible to hire, via Vagues Océanes, gas barbecues at a fee of 15€ for 3 nights minimum, 30€ per week or 50€ for 2 weeks; advance booking is advised. Please not that in these campsites all Privilege accommodation is equipped with a griddle.


Access to swimming pools and entertainment is free?

Yes, access to swimming pools and entertainment is free. For most of our campsites, wearing a wristband is required to access these services (see your voucher). However, some campsites have a fitness area for which access is not free (see prices on site).


The deposit is payable by card pre-authorisation at the six Vagues Océanes campsites or by cheque and card pre-authorisation at our partner campsites.

  • “Material” deposit in case of damage: €200 (guide amount – may vary depending on the campsite)
  •  “Cleaning” deposit: €60 (guide amount – may vary depending on the campsite)

For the six Vagues Océanes campsites (July and August) and partner campsites:

The deposit will be refunded to the customer upon departure, after an inventory is carried out by maintenance staff. If the premises are not left clean, the 60-euro cleaning deposit will be retained. Should there be any damage, the 200-euro deposit will be retained by Vagues Océanes or the partner campsite to replace missing equipment or pay for the costs involved in repairing the damage.

The customer will not be able to contest the decision if they leave without carrying out an inventory and submitting it to the campsite. If the customer does not submit an arrival inventory, it will be assumed that the accommodation was in perfect condition and clean when they arrived. Should the customer leave at a time other than the planned departure time, they accept that the campsite staff alone shall judge the general state and cleanliness of the mobile home.


At what time can i access my accommodation?

You may enter your accommodation from 3.00 pm onwards in low season (April, May, June and September) and from 4.00 pm onwards in high season (July and August) on presentation of the "booking voucher" that confirms your booking.

In our Res'O holiday parks (apart from the campsites mentioned below), a Vagues Océanes representative will be present to welcome you to the campsite and will be available to handle queries during your stay.

The designated arrival times may differ at some campsites, such asLes Alizés in Lannion, Harrobia in Bidart, L'Eden in Grau-du-Roi, L'Océan in Croisic, La Boutinardière in Pornic, La Sirène in Argelès sur mer, Le Clos du Rhône in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Le Campo di Liccia in Bonifacio, Le Tikiti in Propriano, Le Kings in Palamos and Le Villaggio Dei Fiori in Sanremo, so please check your booking voucher.

For piches, you may set up on your pitch from 12 noon onwards, on presentation of your booking confirmation document.

For short weekend breaks, you can access your accommodation from 2pm on Fridays


At what time do I have to vacate my accommodation?

Departures are before 10am.  The inventory will be done by our on site staff after your departure.  If the accommodation is left in a satisfactory condition your deposit will be destroyed automatically (or sent back to you if you leave a stamped addressed envelope).  If the accommodation is deemed to be unacceptable, you will be contacted within one week.

For short weekend breaks, departures are on Sunday at 4pm


Can we receive visitors during our stay at the campsite?

You can receive visitors during your stay at Vagues Océanes holiday parks. For a day spent at the campsite, each visitor will be charged €4 at the campsite reception for use of the campsite facilities. If the visitor is present only overnight (within the accommodation's capacity), the visitors' tax must be paid at reception.


Are pets allowed?

In the Vagues Océanes campsites (Le Brandais, Les Blancs Chênes, Les Grosses Pierres, Les Cabanes d'Oléron) :

Only one pet (cat or dog: max. weight 20kg) per rental is accepted (except for dogs in 1st and 2nd category, new pets or any other pets) for a fee payable during your book :

  • Le Brandais, Les Blancs Chênes, Les Cabanes d'Oleron campsites : 5€/night.
  • Les Grosses Pierres campsites : 7€/night from 10th July to 30th August 2021, 5€/night before 10th July and after 30th August.

For Le Brandais (Brem-sur-Mer) and Les Cabanes d'Oléron (St Georges d'Oléron) campsites: a second pet (cat or dog) can be accepted if they weigh under 20kg, with a supplement fee applied per pet + billing of a €60 housekeeping packaging.

Please note that pets are not allowed in the following accommodation options: PREMIUM range, VILLA range and ARCHIPEL range. Pets are allowed in accommodation in the range PRIVILEGE, with a supplement of 60 €.

Pets are not allowed in Res'o holiday parks.
When pets are allowed in a holiday park, they must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets are not allowed in the area around swimming pools, in food shops or in buildings. The vaccination record for dogs and cats must be up to date and presented on arrival. Whatever the case, only one dog is allowed per rental.


Can we come with a car and a trailer, or a car and a motorbike?

At all of our holiday parks, the price of your stay includes one car per pitch.
If you come with a car and a trailer to our Vagues Océanes holiday parks, there is no surcharge (for Res'O holiday parks, ask at reception). However, we cannot guarantee that your pitch will be big enough to hold both. A car park is available for your use.
If you come with a car and a motorbike on the pitch, you will be charged a €30 surcharge per week for the motorbike to enter the campsite (applies only to our Vagues Océanes holiday parks).


My child is three and a half years old and very bright for his age. Will he be able to go to the Smarties Club (4-8 years)?

Our Smarties kids' club accepts only children who have turned four before the stay. For the sake of regulatory compliance, we cannot accept children under the age of four in our clubs.


How do I use my credit voucher?

No need to contact us, you can use your credit voucher directly via the website to book your holiday for 2021.

How? It’s very simple:

1- Choose your next holiday destination on our website

2- Select from our entire holiday range and add your choice to your basket

3- On the booking page (Step 1 - Booking), in “Accommodation options”, add “Use a credit voucher”

4- On the contact details page (Step 2 - Contact details), log in to your customer account

5- On the payment page (Step 4 - Payment), select “cheque deposit, holiday vouchers, bank transfer” as your payment method

Your tentative booking will remain valid for 8 days.
Shortly after your booking, (within approximately 3 days) your credit voucher will be registered by our customer service.

You will then receive an email confirmation of your booking along with the corresponding proforma invoice.
