What is cancellation insurance?

Cancellation insurance is an optional, flat-rate fee, payable in full when the booking is made. It costs €2.50 per night for accommodation and €12 per stay for a pitch. Cancellation insurance reimburses any sums paid and applies in the circumstances set out in the Terms and Conditions of Business.

What is the visitors' tax?

The visitors' tax is a tax on holidays that can be levied by French municipalities recognised as tourist resorts. It is collected by lodgers, hoteliers, landlords, etc. You will be asked to pay the visitors' tax on your arrival at the campsite (in France only) The rate varies with the destination and with the age of the people concerned. It is calculated on a specific period of the year.

How can I book my stay if I don't have a bank card?

Please contact our Booking Service on +33 (0)251 231 599 and we will arrange your booking together. We will then send you an "option" rental contract, which is valid for only 8 days and which will be confirmed on receipt of your payment by cheque, holiday vouchers or bank transfer.

Can I choose my pitch?

You can state your preferences for the choice of pitch. We will allocate the pitch best suited to your request. We will grant your request only subject to availability and shall not be held liable if we are unable to accede to your request.

YOUR ACCOMMODATION

Can we come with one person more than the accommodation's listed capacity?

At our Vagues Océanes holiday parks only, we accept a maximum of one person more than the capacity of the accommodation you have booked. You should be aware that, in this case, a €72 surcharge will be charged per week for the extra person, that bedding is not provided for the extra person and that babies are counted as a separate person.
We accept a maximum of six people per pitch.
At Res'O holiday parks, extra people are not allowed.

Is it possible to install a tent in front of the accommodation?

Only on the Resort Vagues Océanes (Brittany, Vendee, Oleron, Dordogne), we can allow the installation of a small tent in front of your accommodation, as the capacity of accommodation is met on the total plot (in-place reserves and under-provided field permits, see Camping La Linotte).

What facilities are there in the accommodation? What do I need to bring?

All of our accommodation is equipped with crockery and cutlery, and pillows and blankets are provided. Remember to bring your own sheets and household linen, as they are not provided in our rental accommodation. You may, however, hire them at the campsite (see prices in the section on campsite hire services).

What size are the beds, so I know what sheets to bring?

A double bed measures 140cm; a single bed measures approximately 80cm. In some accommodation, where you might have two double beds, one of the double beds is smaller and measures between 120 and 130cm.

Is there heating in the accommodation?

Yes, there is a heater in the main kitchen-dining room.

CAMPSITE HIRE SERVICES

How much does it cost to hire sheets and bath linen?

At Vagues Océanes holiday parks only, you can request to hire fabric sheets, either when you book or when you arrive. A double-bed sheet set costs €12 a week, a single-bed sheet set costs €10 a week. A bath linen set, consisting of a large towel, a small towel and a face flannel, costs €10 a week.

Can I hire baby equipment?

At Vagues Océanes and Res'O holiday parks (subject to availability), you can hire babies' bath tubs at €5 a week, high chairs at €12 a week and cots at €12 a week. The complete baby set (bath tub + high chair + cot) is available for €26 a week.

Can I bring my own barbecue or do you have them for hire on site at the campsite?

Before bringing your own barbecue, check your booking voucher to see whether they are permitted and exactly what type of barbecue is allowed (gas, electric or charcoal).
At Vagues Océanes holiday parks (Carnac, La Tranche sur Mer, Oléron and Le Bugue), we have charcoal barbecues for hire at €11 a week (charcoal not provided).

Access to swimming pools and entertainment is free?

Yes, access to swimming pools and entertainment is free. For most of our campsites, wearing a wristband is required to access these services (see your voucher). However, some campsites have a fitness area for which access is not free (see prices on site).

AT VAGUES OCEANES HOLIDAY PARKS

At what time can i access my accommodation?

You may enter your accommodation from 3.00 pm onwards in low season (April, May, June and September) and from 4.00 pm onwards in high season (July and August) on presentation of the "booking voucher" that confirms your booking.

In our Res'O holiday parks (apart from the campsites mentioned below), a Vagues Océanes representative will be present to welcome you to the campsite and will be available to handle queries during your stay.

The designated arrival times may differ at some campsites, such as L'Océan in Le Croisic, L'Océan on Ile de Ré, La Boutinardière in Pornic, La Sirène in Argelès sur Mer , Le Clos du Rhône in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, La Sainte Baume in Nans les Pins, Le Pitrera in Porto Vecchio, Le Campo di Liccia in Bonifacio and Le Grand Calme in St Aygulf, so please check your booking voucher.

For piches, you may set up on your pitch from 12 noon onwards, on presentation of your booking confirmation document.

At what time do I have to vacate my accommodation?

In the low season, departures are before 10.00am. The inventory is done after your departure, so your deposit will be destroyed or sent back to you by post (if you have left us a stamped envelope) if the inventory is acceptable.
In the high season, departures are between 8.00am and 10.00am. You will have to make an appointment at reception for the inventory of your accommodation. Inventories are scheduled every quarter-hour, which means that families cannot all leave at the same time. You can also opt for the ""express check-out"" (the same conditions as in the low season).

Can we receive visitors during our stay at the campsite?

You can receive visitors during your stay at Vagues Océanes holiday parks. For a day spent at the campsite, each visitor will be charged €4 at the campsite reception for use of the campsite facilities. If the visitor is present only overnight (within the accommodation's capacity), the visitors' tax must be paid at reception.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome in Vagues Océanes holiday parks, with the exception of Category 1 and 2 dogs (breeds officially listed as attack, defence or guard dogs). A charge will be levied for pets and is payable when the booking is made. Pets are not allowed in Res'o holiday parks.
When pets are allowed in a holiday park, they must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets are not allowed in the area around swimming pools, in food shops or in buildings. The vaccination record for dogs and cats must be up to date and presented on arrival. Whatever the case, only one dog is allowed per rental.

Can we come with a car and a trailer, or a car and a motorbike?

At all of our holiday parks, the price of your stay includes one car per pitch.
If you come with a car and a trailer to our Vagues Océanes holiday parks, there is no surcharge (for Res'O holiday parks, ask at reception). However, we cannot guarantee that your pitch will be big enough to hold both. A car park is available for your use.
If you come with a car and a motorbike on the pitch, you will be charged a €30 surcharge per week for the motorbike to enter the campsite (applies only to our Vagues Océanes holiday parks).

My child is three and a half years old and very bright for his age. Will he be able to go to the Smarties Club (4-8 years)?

Our Smarties kids' club accepts only children who have turned four before the stay. For the sake of regulatory compliance, we cannot accept children under the age of four in our clubs.
